Use of Danish registries before onset of clinical trials

The initiative "Én indgang" from The Danish Regions promotes growth in the number of conducted clinical trials in Denmark. One of the main barriers for the industry behind such trials is to identify suited participants by i.e. hospitals, geographical regions and/or demographic characteristics. Individual-level linkage of Danish registries enables accurate identification of suited participants for clinical trials.

Thrombosis Research Unit Aalborg has national and international recognized expertise in these techniques, and may provide know-how by identifying appropriate cohorts by i.e. hospitals and/or regions before the onset of a clinical trial. This knowledge could be both time-efficient and cost-saving for companies in the process of conducting clinical trials.
